Indoor Air Quality and What It Means to Your Health


Do you know if the air your breathing in your home is clean?  Which of your family members has allergies or asthama?
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air qualilty within a building or a home.

There are many things that affect the quality of the air you breathe:
  • Allergies
  • Mold
  • Flu
  • Bacteria
  • Dust
  • Pollen
  • Viruses
  • Odors
  • Tobacco Smoke
  • Dander
  • Voc's (Volatile Organic Compound) organic chemicals are widely found in household products such as paints, varnishes and wax. Cleaning supplies, disinfecting, cosmetic, degreasing and hobby products.
According to the EPA, most people spend 90% of their time indoors, not realizing that the air indoors can be more polluted than the air outside. The EPA also reports that indoor air pollution levels can be 100x higher than the air outdoors.
